Artwork in Silent Study Room

The artwork from the photography competition is now on display in the Silent Study Room in the Health Sciences Library - Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

The top three photographs were:
1st place "Cathedral Cove" by Jonny Brooke

2nd place "Cosmiques Arete" by Richard Quirke

3rd place "Lines" by Anisa Fadaei

The quality of the entries into the competition were exceptionally high, and as a result took us a great deal of time to shortlist and then choose the winners. As a result, there were also 7 runners up for the Silent Study Room and four runners up whose pictures have been used in the staff meeting room.

If you haven't seen the winning entries, feel free to come in and take a look around.

Exam Survival

Looking for a place to revise? Remember many of the libraries have longer opening hours throughout the exam period. Our very own Health Sciences Library will be open for longer at weekends, 10:00-18:00, and also Western Bank Library will be open until midnight Mon-Thurs and Sun.

And of course there's always the IC, open 24/7. Check out all the Library opening hours here.

There's also plenty of silent study areas throughout all the Library sites. The Health Sciences Library has a separate silent study room at the far end of the Library. Ask for directions at the counter.
