*New Resource* - BoB
The University has recently purchased a subscription to Box of Broadcasts (BoB).
BoB is an off-air recording and media archive service that allows you to record TV and radio programmes that are due to be broadcast over the next seven days. As well as this, you also have access to programmes broadcast over the previous week. You can also create video clips and access transcripts of the programmes.
BoB has excellent video tutorials that take you through the basics of searching and recording, through to creating video and audio clips and searching transcripts.BoB is produced by the British Universities Film & Video Council (BUFVC), Cambridge Imaging Systems and Bournemouth University

Keep track of your WRRO stats
Sheffield's shared open access repository White Rose Research Online (WRRO) has recently unveiled its new statistics page where you can find out all the latest download stats.
The repository has had a fantastic 2,048,419 downloads overall for the full-text articles it holds with the most downloaded research paper getting a whopping 32,289 alone.

To find the stats you want simply use the 'filter items' option at the top of the page. From here you can find out exactly how many downloads each individual article, author or department has had for any given period. To look up a particular article all you need to search for is the EPrint id number which you can find at the end of every record's URL.

*New Resource* - JoVE
The Library has recently purchased a new subscription to JoVE - Journal of Visualized Experiments.
This fantastic resource is an online video journal which publishes peer-reviewed research in a video format. This allows you to see the experimental techniques in action making the presented research clear and immediately understandable. It also means that experimental techniques can be studied and learnt more quickly by fellow researchers.
The journal content can be searched for straight from the homepage or you can browse by sections, which includes; Neuroscience, Immunology & Infection and Clinical & Translational Medicine.
The journal is also indexed by Pubmed Central.

Online Training for Web of Science
Web of Science have recently brought out a new interface. For an introduction to the new Web of Science interface, have a look at their Youtube training channel, where you'll find videos demonstrating how to get the most out of the new features.
Thompson Reuters also offer a range of live webinars and online training via their support pages.

Nexis UK - news and business database
The University Library is now subscribing to Nexis, a news and business information database that includes full-text UK national and regional newspapers. It also provides business information such as company profiles and industry reports from a variety of sources.
This makes Nexis a great resource if you're researching aspects of public health, medical humanities or healthcare mangement and provision.
Nexis has a range of search screens for the different types of information sources it indexes (e.g. News, Company Profiles, Industry News etc.). Navigate between these search screens by clicking on the tabs at the top of the page.
The Power Search screen can also be used to create a customised list of information sources, which can then be searched. On the Power Search screen click on 'More Sources' under the Sources drop-down box to browse or search for information sources. Alternatively, you can click on the 'Sources' tab at the top of the page. From here you can browse information sources from a particular country or by language.
Click on the Help link at the top of the page to access a range of video tutorials that will teach you how to use the key features of Nexis.
Nexis can be accessed now via StarPlus (search under the University Collections tab) or from the following link: http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/library/cdfiles/nexis . You will be prompted to sign into MUSE if you have not already done so.
